About This Book

It's been 10 years since I read this book and I'm going from memory so please forgive inaccuracies. In a nutshell the book is an account of the author's experiences in the European theater of operations during WWII with the 399th Army Infantry Regiment including combat operations and the later occupation of Germany.

Included, and of particular interest, are many letters written by the author to family and friends during the war. I highly recommend the book.
