Seán Bán Mac Grianna (1905-1979)

The Mac Grianna family was a large and remarkably talented clan in Rann na Feirste, Co. Donegal. The youngest son, Seán Bán, was highly regarded for his singing, composing, and storytelling, and became highly respected as a teacher of Irish language and lore. He had a vast store of tales, poetry, and songs, including those of his own composition, not just what was passed along.
