They spend time in the Ethiopian refugee camp and one of them, Victoria, is sent to a refugee camp in Kenya. At about the same time, a young woman of African descent, Abena, who is a student at UBC, decides to go and work in an African refugee camp and ends up in the Kenyan refugee camp where Victoria and her two children are being housed.
