James Campbell is a 28-year-old sharebroker, single, deeply imbued in middle-class values, but bored with his routine existence. But inheriting Ogg, a tiny, forgotten island in Scotland's western Hebrides, leads him into the crazy world of Alceides, a mystery company providing 'services' to the new super-rich class which emerged in the nineties.
