Jacques Roumain (1907-1944)

Jacques Roumain (1907-1944) is one of Haiti's most famous writers and one of its most important political figures. His most well-known work, Gouverneurs de la rosée, was first published in 1944 the year of his death. He also published La montagne ensorcelée (1931), La proie et l'ombre (1930) among many other works published posthumously.
