The book begins with a general introduction, providing a survey of the history of microbiology and a classification of micro-organisms and parasites capable of causing disease in man. Subsequent chapters are devoted to discussions on such topics as host-parasite relationships, parasites, bacteria and viruses, and organ systems and how they get infecte.
