This book in Standard Kurdish is a dramatization by Dr Kamal Mirawdeli of the most famous ever Kurdish literary text the Mem u Zin of Ahmadi Khani. The drama is about 50,000 words and it is arguably the most creative and important Kurdish national literary text after the original work of Khani. In a highly aesthetic poetic language it revives and modernizes the story of Mem u Zin establishing it as a monumental national Kurdish heritage fulfilling Khani's dream to turn his protagonists Mem u Zin into eternal embodiments of sacred love, national freedom and social justice.
