“AFRICA IS NOT DESTINED TO DIE” was the name of the conference held at St. Mary’s National
Major Seminary, Ggaba, Uganda, in 20ll.The thrust of the conference was to affirm Africa’s identity and explore her inner energies as a source of her own liberation.
The presenters sought to establish the signs of hope and renewal in different sectors on the African continent seeking to explore and expand this hope for the future of the African continent. The conference dwelt on celebrating a decade of the Uganda Martyrs University and postulating a positive image of hope for the future of Africa.
The book is a result of the papers delivered at the conference with a hope that the papers act as a starting point for more critical reflections on the positive future of Africa. The various authors offered thoughts from the philosophical, a thropological and the socio-economic aspects, as well as theological reflections to promote a systematic regeneration of African authenticity, pride and hope for a better future aiming to unmask the mystery that is always associated with the African continent basing on the past and the present.
