About This Book

This book is about a dogmatic reflection on Christian God concerned with the well being of his people. Inspired by Henri Sonier de Lubac, Jean-Marie Hyacinthe Quenum develops the theme of the Incarnate God in term of solidarity. Through the incarnation of the Son of God, the Christian God reveals his commitment toward creation by redeeming human beings in their personal and communal existence. The life of God flows in creation through the redemptive incarnation of the Son who lives in the hearts and minds of human beings called to cooperate from the depth of their life situations to the new creation inaugurated by the ministry, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit operates the transformation of the world by inviting the people of God to care, to share and to recreate the links of solidarity broken by sin. The Christian God preached in today's Africa is the one who calls for togetherness, solidarity and unity of all children of God practicing in everryday life the love message of Jesus of Nazareth. This love of God is Trinitarian, incarnational and life-giving. This love aims at the transformation of the world into a new earth and a new heaven called the Kingdom of God.
