About This Book

Shri Enugula Veeraswamy worked as interpreter in Supreme Court of Madras. He made a trip to Varanasi. In those days rail/motor transport had not arrived yet. Only transport available was bullock cart and/or "Pallaki". Shri Veeraswamy recorded his observations regarding places, people, their culture etc., he encountered during his long journey, very frankly. It gives lucid account of social, economic aspects of India at that time. Very interesting aspects of people/places were discussed by Shri Veeraswamy. This book, I purchased from the show room of Visalandhra Book House, Elugu Road, Vijayawada a few years ago, is missing from my Library.
