About This Book

Paul Brewster and son is a delightful Christian story set in the late eighteen hundreds. Mary Carter is a young woman who is engaged to James Brewster. James’ father, Paul Brewster, forbid the marriage due to unfortunate circumstances. Paul was a liquor seller and Mary’s father a drunkard, both of which are purely against Mary’s strong Christian beliefs. James released her and married a woman who was often drunk. James’ marriage brought only heartbreak and disaster. Mary lost the house she had grown up in. This book comes so close to tragedy that it is hard to believe that there is a happy ending.
