About This Book
The book I believe is a well written history of the daily focus on the capture of Geronimo and his band. It also contains a partial history of my great grandfather. My great grandmother put notes in the margins and was able to obtain a small pension from the government for the time the army spent on the ranch staging patrols looking for Geronimo. Grandpa would talk often about the stories his dad would tell him about the Indian wars around Animus New Mexico. The ranch was located near the foothills of the Chiricahua Mountains where Geronimo finally surrendered. A good read from the perspective of a common foot soldier.
