About This Book
The Latin version of the Chronicle of the Priest of Dioclea, known as "Gesta Regum Sclavorum" and written between 1295 and 1301, is a work of a Ruger, a Roman Catholic priest in Doclea, who was a member of Cistercian order and was of Bohemian ethnic origins. The work (of which there were 2 versions) is not preserved in original, but only in copies since the 16th and 17th centuries. In 1666 it was translated by Croat-Latin historian Ioannes Lucius (Ivan Lucić) and printed under the name "De Regno Dalmatiae e Croatiae"--Summary (v. 2., p. 379) and Wikipedia.
