Lincoln and the church beside the highway

Reflections from a Methodist Episcopal bishop on anti-German sentiment, including that within the Methodist church, during World War I. Bishop Hamilton had been present at the dedication of the Lincoln Highway Methodist Episcopal Church in Bucyrus, Ohio which was founded by a German Methodist congregation.
