WIlliam Alfred Moody was born 28 June 1870 in Eagle Valley, Nevada. His parents were William Crestfield, Moody and Cynthia Elizabeth Damron. He married Adelia Williams 4 June 1894 in Thatcher, Arizona. They were both sent to Samoa as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They had one daughter, Hazel. Adelia died 24 May 1895 in Apia, Samoa. He married Sarah Blake 17 May 1899 in Salt Lake City. They had seven children. He married Amy Gertrude Toye in 1950.
