About This Book
"This book is a primer for an undergraduate engineering dynamics course. It has three intended audiences: students enrolled in such a course, graduate students refreshing their former coursework, and teachers. In the primer, the theoretical background necessary to tackle most of the problems presented in an undergraduate engineering dynamics text is presented. This theory is then illuminated using several carefully worked examples.
For the examples, a systematic four-step approach is employed throughout." "The material in the primer has three divisions: single particle dynamics, dynamics of systems of particles, and the dynamics of rigid bodies. These three classes of systems are then combined in the closing chapter. To assist readers, each of the ten chapters in the primer has a summary section and a set of brief exercises."--BOOK JACKET.
