Rain, Wind, and Fire

Devastated by the war with Norkath, Karolan now faces a bitter winter. The young king wields great authority, but many of the hurts of the realm are forever beyond his reach. He finds the crown a heavy burden he must bear without help -- but would he accept help if it were offered? The heroic blacksmith Jonathan, the king's closest friend, seems to have vanished in despair on finding that a band of Norkath soldiers killed his beloved Naomi... or did they? If Naomi isn't dead, where is she? Will Jonathan ever realize he has broken his sacred promise to search for her? And will Naomi herself die without help in a foreign land? A new danger is on the horizon, threatening Karolan's utter destruction and striking Jonathan and the king with separate, individual disaster.
