Twist of Lyme

A Twist of Lyme chronicles how Caesar's life unfolded from the age of eleven through diagnosis at 36. The book then becomes a diary of her fight against Lyme and provides a raw and honest look from within the mind of a woman tormented by treatment in her pursuit of wellness. Caesar is ironically able to share her experience with sharp wit and a sense of humor, sometimes as a coping mechanism, that has helped find her way through treatment and through life while suffering from undiagnosed chronic illness.

It is believed that Andrea Caesar suffered from Lyme Borreliosis and multiple related infections for 26 years before diagnosis, based on her family's chronological recollection of when life changed for Caesar, then an eleven-year-old girl living in RI.

Finally diagnosed in 2011, Caesar began painful and arduous treatments, which she continues to this day. Ms. Caesar's intriguing life has always been somewhat tainted by aspects of the mysterious symptoms of Lyme Disease, as beautifully integrated into her life story leading up to present day treatment.
