The CEO poverty measure, 2005-2010

NYC Center for Economic Opportunity's new working paper tracks the change in the CEO poverty rate since the onset of the Great Recession. The paper explores the extent to which policy initiatives--including President Obama's stimulus programs and the City's effort to increase Food Stamp enrollment--offset the recession-related declines in earnings and alleviated what would otherwise have been a sharp spike in the City's poverty rate.
