This book consists of two parts. The core is the translation of the John Winthrop's History of New England, a kind of diary covering the first decade (1630-1639) of the Puritan settlement on the American continent. The other part consists of seven chapters covering the broader context of Winthrop's writing and is focused on several features of the Puritan story from a revisionist perspective.
