This book tells a powerful and interesting story of addiction. How a teenager with attention deficit disorder in the 1960's was influenced so strongly by his environment in southern California. This book is about the authors' upbringing in the Los Angeles area, and his time spent as an addict working as a TV broadcast journalist in Arizona, California, and the Midwest. The final section of the book is intended to provide the reader with ways to get well on their own, using the power of their human spirit as the author did to beat his four addictions.
