About This Book
"Captain Dan Jones (1810-1862), was a Welshman, Mormon convert and friend of Joseph Smith. He led Welsh Mormon missionary efforts in Wales, after 1845. His fruitful mission, produced not only thousands of converts and emigrants, but a prodigious literature. In 1847, he published the first comprehensive history of Mormonism. This booklet includes the translation of two chapters from that history, giving accounts of the first vision and the finding of the Book of Mormon, never previously published in English before"--Back cover.
