About This Book

Ferentium, an important city in southern Etruria during the Roman periods, was continually inhabited until the end of the 7th century AD, when the city was destroyed by the Viterbese. After an investigation in the 19th and the first half of the 20th century, in 1994 the site became the center of a research project conducted by the Dipartimento di Scienze dei Beni Culturali of the Universita della Tuscia. The materials presented in this volume, which relate to the archaeological and topographical surveys conducted between 2009 and 2013 of the urban and suburban areas of the site, offer a look at the historical stratification of Ferentium, as well as its territorial context.
