"Appeared in New York as far back as 1893, in the words of his prologue and fervent animator José Martí, this volume set out to save <all they thought in our days of nation those who had fire and disinterest to found it>. It is not a nostalgic evocation of the epic epic, but a testimony of a need: to pour into more or less coherent and rhythmic verses a feeling: the overflowing patriotism, the veneration of the absent mother or the distant wife, the dramatic appeal to the contrary, the praise to the epic with sue stela of heroes and martyrs ... Therefore, the aspiration is to share, multiply the resonances between the new generations.
