The Impact of the Internet resources on library services

The book primarily addresses the impact of the Internet resources on library services. A field study has been conducted to assess how the Sudanese librarians perceive and utilize the Internet resources, and what are the impacts of those resources on the library technical works. The study aims at assessing the Sudanese librarians’ Information Technology (IT) skills, their access to and frequency of IT usage, as well as examine the patterns of their usage of web-based resources. The book also seeks to assess the Sudanese librarians’ perceptions and awareness regarding the usability and relevancy in regards to training and professional development. Furthermore the book looks into the barriers that hinder the use of the Internet resources by the Sudanese librarians.
