About This Book
The Harpeth Hall School is an independent college preparatory school for young women in grades 5-12 in Nashville, TN. Founded in 1865 as Ward Seminary, the school merged with Belmont College in 1913 to become Ward-Belmont. The closing of Ward-Belmont led to the creation of Harpeth Hall, which relocated to a new campus in 1951. This book was written to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of The Harpeth Hall School by a team of alumnae writers and editors, and covers its history from 1865-2001.
