About This Book

Hospitality is approached here from the spatial question and its challenges, starting from the postulate that any spatial design and realization, whether architectural, urban, landscape or artistic, accompanies the experience of people, of a one way or another, directly or by resonance. This, in order to respond to the following problem: how do architecture and spaces modify the consideration of hospitality and what spatialization would concern hospitality? To do this, we focus more particularly on the places of care, from the hospital to the home, the places of care being understood in the double sense of cure (the action of caring) and of care (taking care of it). The hospital thus appears as a central figure - as architecture (s), global institution, grouping of services - without being the only situation studied.
