About This Book
Influenced by the pessimism of the Generation of ’98, Ramón Sánchez Díaz (1869-1960), started very young in journalism. The articles collected here span two and a half years, ending four days before the proclamation of the Second Republic, and display the ideas of an already mature writer. Díaz was later forced into exile due to his involvement with leftist republicanism. In 1954 his home in Reinosa was recovered and converted into a municipal library bearing his name.
