Rainer Prohaska?s works in the public realm transform villages into deconstructed apartments, public squares into communication spaces and shopping malls into participative large-scale kitchens.0The resulting objects, interventions and installations activate special places and alter the perception of observers, often allowing them to participate in the process-oriented works. He undertakes the investigation of entire regions such as the metropolis of Beijing or the cultural landscape of the Danube? on land or water depending upon the geographical situation? using mobile objects that he himself has built.0?Relations? offers a retrospective of the artist?s work from the years 2006?2018. The extensive photographic documentation is organised in line with four main aspects of his output:?Culinary Communication?,?Spatial Hacking?,?Explorations? and?Technology?. This is accompanied by sketches and project-related images produced with the help of a printing method developed by the artist.
