About This Book

**Khwaja Hasan Nizami** (1878-1957) was a popular journalist & prose writer of Urdu language. He wrote prolifically in a style that was light, pleasing and effective. He used the language that reflects the refined taste of Dilli (Delhi). The subjects of his writings covered a vast range mostly including Sufi ideology, political thoughts, historical stories and pen-sketches of contemporary personalities. He was given the title of *MuSawwir-e-fiTrat* (portrayer of nature). Though he remained involved in controversial religious & political conflicts through journalism, his serious writings were mostly didactic. This book is a doctoral thesis by Imam Murtaza Naqvi on which the researcher was awarded Ph.D. degree by Aligarh Muslim University. It critically analyzes the literary contribution and personality of Khwaja Hasan Nizami.
