About This Book
K. Grasett's modest book is one of the better books on weaving available. I would hesitate to compare this to Luther Hooper's work but only because of brevity. This volume (to my knowledge one of three perhaps four) is an excellent introduction to hand weaving and should be on the shelf of any aspiring weaver. Even if the text were flawed, the book would be well worth the price just for the illustrations alone. They are as clear, concise and informative as is the information and instructions given.
The author quite quickly takes the reader from a useful forward through the introduction to weaving drafts. This in 70 pages total.
The only flaw can be found in the concluding remark in the book:
> Another volume will shortly be published containing a large variety
> of drafts and patterns.
Sadly that does not seem to have happened.
