About This Book

Marissa Falco describes her cross-country move from Boston to the brighter San Francisco Bay Area, and her rocky transition into an outdoorsy person having previously spent her life mostly indoors. She hikes and explores with Californians who annually rent a cabin in Mendocino county, and takes a trip to Lassen to travel up a formerly-volcanic cinder cone; she also writes about her time "becoming living art," being outfitted for Pride with the Verasphere, a drag costuming arts project Miss Sequential’s Wild Kingdom is a green quarter-size zine bound with green embroidery thread, featuring a full-page pullout poster folded into the zine itself, yellow translucent inserts with printed photographs of another zine on rare seed samples and yellow cardstock insert cut-outs of a plant identification guide. -- Claudia
