Women and men in Lancashire Polytechnic

This book was compiled to provide statistical information about women's position in Lancashire Polythechnic in the 1980's. It is to be read in conjunction with the larger and detailed research project by Cynthia Cockburn entitled 'Womens Progress' which was completed in the same year. This relatively short project emerged as debates surrounding equal oportunities for women in Higher Education proliferated in this period.
