This volume is a reference source to black performing artists in film, television, night-clubs, stage, opera, ballet, jazz and classical concerts. The directory responds to the need for a single source of information on the subject, and a compendium of biographical and career facts on over 850 black individuals, living and deceased, who have earned a degree of recognition for their work in the performing arts.
