The author of the textbook, Ognyan Gerdzhikov, is not only a brilliant law expert but also a politician who chaired Bulgaria's Parliament between 2001 and 2005 and served as interim prime minister between January and May 2017. The book presents comprehensively the legal status, powers and practices of traders under Bulgarian commercial law, including the Commercial Act. It is recommended for law students. Gerdzhikov gives the essentials without going too deep into complex legal concepts. He presents the main terms and principles of commercial law, the types of traders, and how commercial entities can be terminated, liquidated or stabilized. He pays special attention to relevant EU regulations.
