Self-published autobiography of Theodore Hessell (1837-1912), a former Baptist minister, farmer and printer, who immigrated from Sweden to America in 1869. Family history research indicates that Hessell was not his true name. He likely stole the identity of a grammar school classmate after being released from prison prior to emigration.
