The Eastern Liturgies

How do the liturgies of the schismatic Eastern Churches differ from the Catholic West? In this age, with its efforts at Church unity, the question of liturgical differences is of prime importance. Every aware, intelligent Catholic should be cognizant of the differences that divide the Christian world. The author presents a picture of the colourful and striking variations within what is commonly called the "Eastern Church". He discusses the Coptic, the Armenian, the Russian and Greek Orthodox, the East Syrian and the Antiochene rites in historical perspective and in their present-day form.
