About This Book
A short history of W S Cowell Ltd, printers of Ipswich,England (UK). The company was established by Abraham Kersey Cowell in 1818. The book looks at the development of printing in the company as it strove to provide the best quality of colour (US color) printing. It lists among its outstanding works 'Wild Flowers of the United States' by the US botanist Dr Harold William Rickett. It contains over ten thousand colour illustrations in six volumes comprising fourteen parts/books.
Postscript: Cowells ceased printing some time after 1985.
