About This Book

Bruno de Winter was a Flemish journalist . He became known as the founder and first editor-in-chief of 't Pallieterke , a satirical Flemish-minded weekly with a conservative right wing--Wikipedia

't Pallieterke is a Belgian publisher and satirical weekly pro-Flemish and right - conservative tendency. The " weekly for people with a good heart and a bad character " calls itself not bound by party politics, non-conformist and has the motto " What cannot be said with a smile is not the truth ". Domestic politics is the main part, but there are also sections on foreign countries, economics , books, television , film , music , art ,theater , sports and regular historical files--Wikipedia

In 1945 the magazine was founded in Antwerp by Bruno de Winter , Karel Polderman and Charles Van Gool. De Winter was a journalist at Het Handelsblad where he signed a popular column like "'t Pallieterke". This was a reference to the pre-war magazine Pallieter of Filip The Pillecyn , which in turn was derived from the figure Pallieter from the same novel of Felix Timmermans .
