About This Book

"On the anniversary of the coup d'etat the teacher of the 2nd grade talks to the pupils about dictatorship but also about democracy. The children see how moved she is and decide to fight the junta. They order weapons from Father Christmas including a <<secret>> weapon. The father of two of the pupils begins a correspondence with a cousin of his who has a toy factory in a neighbouring country. The correspondence is intercepted and censored. The dictators believe it's about an actual conspiracy and real weapons. The army is sent to the border. On the day the toys are expected the lorries crossing the border are searched and the blunder discovered. There are no weapons, only toys and, instead of a <<secret>> weapon, only a sling is found. The junta is ridiculed and laughed out of office. Once again, David defeats Goliath." (Description from Patakis Publisihers)
