The book "The elegant ones: street fashion of the 1950s and 1960s" is the first publication about the phenomenon of Polish fashion 50s and 60s watched through the prism of everyday life. Janas collected memories and anecdotes from the lives of 13 women from different backgrounds: aristocrats, actresses, nurses, teachers, physiotherapists, and models -- different figures united by their love of fashion and hatred of the communist regime.
