About This Book

"This chronicle may draw the interest of researchers of the regional past and the history of the Polish countryside. This stems from Jazowsko upon Dunajec. Its emergence was possible thanks to partial records, noted in the metric books of the local church as well as the court archives. Here, their texts were assembled, organized and equipped with an introduction and scientific apparatus (footnotes, indices). The chronicle encapsulates the period between the second half of the 17th and the first half of the 18th century, and includes some notes from the 19th century. It decribes the areas South of Nowy Sącz and reaches as far as Kraków to the North, and Spisz to the South."--Page 87.
