La tortura en Guatemala

The purpose of this report is not the quantification of the frequency of acts of torture, but a deeper analysis of the phenomenon in Guatemala. The report analyzes the continuities and changes in motivations, means, objectives, victims and perpetrators of torture. Focuses on the time of the internal armed conflict (1960-1996), and 2006-2007, taking into account the historical construction of the phenomenon of torture throughout time and history.
