The Eastern Carolina Chamber of Commerce presented this "Encyclopedia" of county information with hopes that farmers, investors, and other interested individuals would participate in the developing and thriving economic ventures of the area and take advantage of the many available opportunities. Broken down by county, the pamphlet provides details on agricultural production, roads, schools, weather, churches, and population. The following counties are featured: Bertie, Duplin, Edgecombe, Greene, Halifax, Johnston, Jones, Lenior, Nash, Pender, Pitt, Sampson, and Wayne. Articles on the topics of pecans, dairy farming, truck and fruit growing, and pork are interspersed throughout the county descriptions.
