A long December

The Nation County (Iowa) sheriff's department slips into a morass of murder and terrorism. What starts out as a simple investigation of a shooting out on a farm, suddenly develops much deeper implications for Deputy Dave Houseman. Dave and investigator Hester Gorse wade through a case bogged down by the sudden disappearance of major witnesses, a multiple agency task force, and the ever present press.
