The book 'Leos Janacek - A biography' by Jaroslav Vogel is the classic biography of the great Czech composer. The foreword is by Sir Charles MacKerras who is one of the most knowledgeable conductors of Janacek's music and he is the musician who has done the most to bring Janacek's music to a worldwide audience.
