Short stories. Janette Becerra (1965) is a contemporary Puerto Rican poet, writer, teacher and literary critic. She is the author of the collection of short stories Doce versiones de soledad (2011) which received the First Prize of the PEN Club of Puerto Rico and the second prize in the contest held by the Institute of Puerto Rican Literature in 2012 as well as Elusiones (2001), Antracuteopolis (novel, VI Premio El Barco de Vapor, Puerto Rico 2012), Ciencia imperfecta (2014, 2012 short story prize of the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture) and La Casa que soy (2014).
