Polity in the Agni Purāna

The work presents an exhaustive study of the various aspects of political organizations outlined in the Agni Purana, a book finally compiled in early medieval Northern India. It is a useful service to historical scholarship in presenting thorough analysis of a difficult and inadequately studied source's treatment of kingship.

The lengthy appendices shows the borrowings of the Agni from the other Puranas and works of Sanskrit literature. A work involving much tedious labour.
