Picture Collections in Mexico

This first directory to over 500 public and private collections of pictorial documents created and preserved in the United Mexican States facilitates access to images of Mexico as seen through Mexican eyes. It is designed for specialists in Mexican and Latin American studies, picture researchers, and other media professionals. The book gives essential information about historical and documentary picture collections belonging to archives, libraries, museums, universities and other institutions, government sources, photographers, private collectors, and publishers in Mexico. Pictures are of many types. With a Spanish/English glossary, two maps, and 40 black-and-white full-page reproductions of pictures from the collections.
