Pierre Chrysologe Pranbrun (1792-1841) was born in French Canada, served in the War of 1812 and entered the service of the Hudson's Bay Company in 1815. One of his sons, Andrew Dominique Pambrun (1821-1895) married Mary Cook (1824-1902) in 1843 and they had fifteen children.
